Using this site

You are welcome here. Do not try to break the site, extract data from it by automated means, or use it to do something illegal. That is the entire list.

Estimates are not quotes

This is the important one.

The estimator on this site produces an indicative range from a handful of answers. It is a starting point for a conversation, not an offer, not a fixed price, and not a contract. Real scope shifts numbers in both directions, and the range you see may not survive contact with the details of your project.

Nothing is binding on either of us until there is a written proposal, signed.

Work we do for you

Individual projects are governed by the proposal and agreement we sign with you, not by this page. Where the two disagree, the signed agreement wins.

In general, and subject to that agreement: you own the final deliverables once you have paid for them in full. We keep ownership of our underlying tools, components and methods, and we reserve the right to show completed work in our portfolio unless you have asked us not to.

Haswell Book, Haswell Chat and the platform

Our WordPress plugins are distributed under the GPL‑2.0‑or‑later licence, as WordPress plugins must be. That licence governs your rights to use, modify and redistribute the code.

Support, updates and the managed subsite platform are services rather than parts of the licence, and are covered by whatever plan you are on. We do not guarantee that any plugin is fit for a particular purpose, and you remain responsible for keeping your own backups.

Our content

The text, design, photography and code on this site belong to Haswell Creative or to the people we licensed them from. Case studies describe work done for clients whose own marks and materials remain theirs. Please do not republish any of it as your own.

Where we link somewhere else, we are pointing, not endorsing. What happens on that site is between you and them.

Availability

We aim to keep this site up and correct, and we will not promise that it always will be. It is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Haswell Creative is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website — including anything you decided on the strength of an estimate it produced.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

To be completed. The governing jurisdiction has not been set on this page. It should name the province, state or country whose law applies and whose courts have jurisdiction — your lawyer or accountant will know which.

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page tells you when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
